Desktop Engineer

*Position Overview* We are seeking a highly adaptable and self-sufficient *Desktop Engineer* to serve as the sole IT support professional at our Draper, Utah location. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and can operate independently while being part of a larger shared services Desktop Engineering team.
Although this position is autonomous onsite, the engineer will have access to remote support and collaboration with the broader IT team across the organization.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues at the Draper office, providing hands-on support for both Windows and Mac environments.
* Manage and resolve support tickets related to Microsoft 365 applications, hardware/software troubleshooting, and user access issues.
* Perform workstation setup, configuration, and maintenance, including imaging, deployment, and upgrades.
* Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
* Maintain inventory of IT assets and coordinate procurement and lifecycle management of hardware.
* Collaborate with remote Desktop Engineering and Infrastructure teams to escalate complex issues and implement company-wide IT initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with security protocols and assist users with cybersecurity best practices.
* Create and maintain documentation for local IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.
*Required Skills & Qualifications*
* Proven experience in desktop support or IT generalist roles, ideally in environments requiring independent problem-solving.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and Mac OS support.
* Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a 6C Public Trust Clearance.
*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
