Dentist - AZ

We are seeking a seasoned Dentist for a 52-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona, starting Oct 20, 2025. This opportunity features 10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. Candidates proficient in exodontia and those experienced in high-volume clinics are highly desired. Responsibilities include comprehensive dental care, dental assessments, radiographic exams, emergency treatments, and supervising dental assistants. The assignment utilizes TechCare EMR and requires all necessary credentials and certifications prior to onboarding.

• Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm, four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday)

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain overall dental care responsibility for the management of dental services to each patient
• Perform all dental assessments, radiographic exams, and dental treatment, including emergency treatment such as oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and periodontal therapy within the scope of general dentistry
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Evaluate all patients returning from offsite dental visits
• Participate in training and orientation of healthcare staff
• Provide oral hygiene education and discharge instructions to all patients seen
• Supervise and coach dental assistants
• Ensure sterilization and disinfection of equipment

Additional Information

• Active Arizona dental license required
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
• Experience in high volume clinics preferred
• Proficiency in exodontia is valued but not required
• Familiarity with TechCare EMR system
