Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

Our client, a leader in data center operations and IT infrastructure support, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the Technical Support Department supporting data center operations and infrastructure maintenance. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

Location: onsite - Irving, TX

Duration: 18 Months on W2

Day Shift B: 12-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat)

Pay Range: $25 - $28/hour + Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance Enrollment, 401K Saving Options, 15 days of PTO & weekly pay.

What's the Job?

• Remove network cables as part of datacenter decommissioning

• Run, label, and stage power and networking cables

• Perform DBD (data-bearing device) removal only (no scanning involved)

• Follow procedures for preparing, installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment, with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads

• Prepare, stage, set up, and conduct basic startups and shutdowns for hardware using written instructions, checklists, and standard procedures

• Conduct physical audits of datacenter assets

What's Needed?

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays.

• 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
