Our client is seeking a Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1 to join their team.
Job Title: Data Center Technician - I&A Logistics Support 1
Location: Sterling, VA
Pay Range: $23.00/hr. - $25.00/hr.
What's the Job?

• Performs assigned tasks and escalates issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
• Leverages process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision. Coordinates, prepares, and executes incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order (PO) receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor (RMS) activities).
• Ensures complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
• Performs inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity.
• Performs material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process.
• Ensures detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
• Performs destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks

Required:

• High School Diploma AND 2+ years' experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Previous experience working in a data center environment. If required, Team Manager of 5-10 supplier resources

What is the ideal background of a candidate for this role?

• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.
• 0-2 years' experience required.
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time"

• Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance.
• Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program.
• Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs.
