Responsibilities

• Responsible to ensure adherence to and performance of support including but not limited to Physical, and virtual Server Support (Unix, Windows, Linux), Virtual Desktop Instance Support, Server provisioning, Mainframe, Server Platform Management, Refresh, Installation, and Retirement.
• Oversee adherence and performance Dedicated Team Leads for each of the following areas:
• Data Center Operations
• Data Center Operations
• Wintel;
• iii. VMware / virtualization;
• Unix / Linux;
• Storage and backup;
• Middleware;
• vii. Mainframe, and
• viii. Data Center Facilities Management.
• Configure and manage all Data Center Management Tools for the full suite of DCMT functions required to ensure the Normal Operations of FDIC Data Center Cis
• Oversee DCMT Configuration Management Database
• Oversee Data Center Facilities Management in DC and other locations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred.
• Ten plus years of relevant experience managing server and support services, including at least 3 years in an IT outsourcing environment to manage Contractor Personnel performance of the Services.
• ITIL v3 Foundation Certified
• Leadership and work assignment
• Data Center CI Management

Overview

We are seeking Data Center Team Lead to join our team supporting the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in Arlington, VA. The two data centers are referenced as Primary Data Center (PDC) located in Arlington, VA and a Backup Data Center (BDC) located in Carrollton, TX. You will be a member of technical team where excellent customer service and professional expertise are required.

The mission of FDIC's Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO) is to provide scalable, efficient technology that enables continuous access to data securely. In support of this mission, FDIC established ServiceNow as an enterprise platform in 2016 and has since implemented six product suites across the ServiceNow platform. The use of cloud platforms like ServiceNow is a key component of the FDIC's ongoing IT Modernization Program, which emphasizes accelerated cloud adoption to support mission needs. The IT Modernization Program is intended to align the FDIC's IT program with key Federal priorities, including the Federal Cloud Smart Strategy.
