Once educational institutions, government agencies, and other businesses sign on to use Google Cloud products, you come in to facilitate making their work more productive, mobile, and collaborative. You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with the technical Sales team as a Google Workspace subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud, productivity and collaboration solutions to customers. You will help prospective and existing customers understand the power of Google Cloud, explain technical features and solve problems for any potential roadblocks. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will have experience in cloud platform and SaaS products, particularly productivity and collaboration tools. You will partner with internal engineering stakeholders to improve products and build solutions, optimizing for results when in production and identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities include leading technical projects, technology advocacy, support bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources. Deliver product messaging for the Google Workspace by using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents. Recommend administration strategies, deploy plans, change management solutions, and Cloud Security to implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers. Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed, and act as a public advocate for Google Cloud. Identify business and technical requirements, conduct technical discovery, and architect client solutions to meet gathered requirements, focus on expansion on customer's usage of Google Cloud products and overall GPS success.
