EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS), an EMCOR core business, services over 1 billion square feet of commercial space across the United States. From corporate campuses to single sites, EFS provides a range of services that support mission-critical areas of financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, transportation, and education sectors.

Performs basic cleaning duties and specific custodial functions which includes, removing trash, recycling from office, and break room areas. Dusts, cleans restrooms, sweeps floors, operate a floor scrubber general cleaning / janitorial tasks and other specific requirements of the client's business segment. Including minor maintenance such as changing filters, belts, changing bulbs, landscaping / snow removal, and escorting vendors. Eyewash inspection, emergency light inspections, and a monthly fire extinguisher inspection to be performed at multiple locations. Must always work in a safe and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Removes all trash, recycling
• Vacuums all carpeted areas in offices
• Operates cleaning equipment such as a floor scrubbing machine
• Cleans breakrooms
• Cleans restrooms
• Manages vendors when they come on site
• Other maintenance to be performed includes fire extinguisher inspections, bulb changes, filter changes etc.
• Landscape / snow removal
• Safety Compliance, inspecting fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, etc
• Administrative work

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
• Business Experience: 0 3 Year
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
• Technical Qualifications & Skills: Must be able to operate basic custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors and floor buffing machines.
