Embark on Your Journey as a Culinary Nutrition Clerk

• Distribute and collect menus, assist patients with diet orders, and process menu requests.
• Update patient kardex as needed to include all diet changes and document nourishments ordered.
• Engage with patients to learn about food preferences, allergies, and nutritional history.
• Complete production sheets and document special food requests accurately.
• Verify patient tray lines to ensure meals meet diet requirements, requests, and garnishing standards.
• Prepare and check early trays, ensuring food carts leave the kitchen on schedule.
• Perform necessary cleaning duties to maintain a safe kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Possession of a food handler's permit, if mandated by state or county regulations.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience as a Diet Clerk or Nutrition Services Clerk in an acute care facility is preferred.
