Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain diagnostic imaging equipment and ensure it is always clean and in proper working order.
2. Set up, calibrate, and adjust equipment as per the specific examination requirements.
3. Accept patients, assess their needs, and explain procedures clearly to ensure they feel comfortable.
4. Administer appropriate contrast agents safely and effectively, performing IV access when necessary.
5. Collaborate with Radiologists to ensure correct examinations are conducted for accurate diagnoses.
6. Conduct quality control for all images produced, ensuring safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
7. Utilize extensive anatomical knowledge to achieve optimal imaging results.
8. Stay updated on new technology and safety protocols within the department.
9. Foster a culture of safety through diligent practices and compliance with policies.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program.
• Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years in Radiology, with at least one year of CT-specific training.
• Licensure: Active certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography and a Massachusetts Radiation Control Program license.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 180 days of hire.
