As a CT Technologist, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety of patients by providing accurate computed tomography imaging. You will perform scans for a high-volume outpatient department. Because of this fast-paced workflow, efficiency and timeliness are essential. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 1:30PM - 10:00PM or 7:30AM - 4:30PM, including rotating holidays.

Green Health and Wellness Center will be the primary work location, but floating to Bath, Stow or Tallmadge will be required, as needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems and contraindications to the study.

• Verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.

• Assure patient's safety and comfort during procedures.

• Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.

• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Perform VNA punctures as necessary.

• Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including the technical and clerical components, to ensure proper quality assurance results and any required documentation.

• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.

• Observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems to appropriate individuals.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) in good standing

• Computed Tomography (CT) Certification (R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)) within one year of hire

• Current state licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
