CT Technologist
Under the direction of the Department Director/Manager/CT Lead, the Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for producing quality diagnostic images of human anatomy and vascular structures following prescribed protocols.
- Performs examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to promote the services offered at the facility.
- Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
- Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff and self, as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure safety.
- Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
- Communication: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Reasoning: ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, solve practical problems, and handle a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization.
- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., The Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, Title 22 standards).
- Complies with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Demonstrates strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills; relates well to clinical personnel, medical staff, and the public.
- Ability to perform CT exams independently and to follow physician's orders.
- Ability to access patency of IV sites before injections and to look up lab values and pull related exams for radiologist viewing.

Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
- Minimum one-year experience as a registered Computed Tomography Technologist required; acute care experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (CT) license required.
