Locums - Physician Assistant Trauma Surgery - Portsmouth, New Hampshire(Meditech Expanse Inpatient Trauma & Critical Care Rounding ATLS Required) Assignment Overview:

Start: September/October 2025
Schedule:
- Shift Options:
  - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (8-hour shift)
  - 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shift)
  - 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM (12-hour shift)
- Coverage Requirement: Up to 8-9 shifts per month
- Weekday & Weekend coverage needed
Setting: Hospital-based Trauma Service
Daily Patient Volume: 10
EMR: Meditech Expanse

Clinical Role & Responsibilities:

Inpatient trauma and critical care rounding
First assist in trauma surgery preferred
No outpatient responsibilities
Daily trauma coverage and back-up support

Open Dates (Select September/October 2025):

Multiple shifts open in September and October
Candidates must be available for a minimum of 8-9 days of on-site trauma coverage / back-up coverage
Flexible shift combinations (8-hr or 12-hr) available

Credentialing & Requirements:

License: Active New Hampshire PA or APRN license required
Certifications Required:
- ATLS
- ACLS
Board Certification or Eligibility: Required
Experience: Strong trauma and critical care background preferred

Additional Notes:

Facility is actively hiring additional trauma surgeons (5th and 6th in process)
Strong APP coverage supports trauma rounding and procedural volume
Excellent opportunity for experienced surgical PAs in trauma settings
