JOB SUMMARY: Work Schedule 4-10hr shifts, Monday-Thursday!

Under the supervision of the RN provides age-appropriate care. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. With guidance and oversight of the Registered Nurse, performs duties to support the daily care and mobility of the patient.
Responds to and actively participates in emergency codes.
Administers incentive spirometry and oxygen; and administers, reads and records pulse oximetry at direction of licensed professional staff.
Suctions endotracheal or tracheostomy tube in order to obtain sterile specimens and perform pulmonary toileting; observes cardiac monitor during procedure and responds to arrhythmia’s by ventilating mechanically or with ambo-bag; notifies licensed professional staff if problems arise.
Monitors cardiac console unit and observes EKG's; identifies, interprets and logs threatening arrhythmias; notifies licensed professional staff of arrhythmia’s.

REQUIREMENTS:

Certified Nursing Assistant, Active on Maryland Board of Nursing
Active American Heart Association Basic LifeSupport Certificate
Less than 1 year of experience required
