Critical Care Nurse - Float Pool (Nights)

Join our dynamic Critical Care Float Pool team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your critical care skills across multiple areas, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and a progressive critical care unit.

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, Nights

Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00

Hourly Pay Range: $34.65 - $35.69

As part of the Critical Care Float Pool, you will also have the chance to gain experience in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care areas, working in the region's only Level I trauma center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments as per company policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs, providing primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create comprehensive care plans.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Progressive Care or ICU is preferred.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts is a plus.
