Cook

Responsible for the preparation of all food served to patients, staff, and customers. Uses proper cooking, cooling, and reheating techniques to ensure food safety. Regularly trains and mentors employees in the department. Collaborates with leadership to meet quality service standards for food production.

Principle Responsibilities

• Prepares food in a timely, appealing, and appetizing manner.
• Uses proper cooking, cooling, and reheating techniques to ensure food safety.
• Assists with directing the activities of staff to ensure patient flow and cafeteria needs are met.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of cook experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree in culinary or related field
• 0 to 2 years of previous lead or supervisory experience

Licenses/Certifications

• ServSafe Certification preferred

Physical Demands

• Medium Work:
• Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $20.43 to $25.75 per hour The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend, and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
