Essential Functions

• Prepare and assemble food items (salads, sandwiches, cooked meals) following production guides and menus

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment during and after food production

• Label and date food items appropriately for sale or storage

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any malfunctions or hazards

• Maintain required records such as temperature logs and cashiering documentation

• Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, vendors, and coworkers

• Detect and report spoiled or unattractive food and defective supplies

• Attend required in-service meetings and complete training assignments (e.g., Taleo)

• Support teamwork and offer constructive feedback to improve systems and processes

• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume environment

  • Knowledge of standard cooking and sanitation methods

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures

• Exposure to a variety of kitchen equipment and tools
