The Cook II will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and procedures.
• Portion and present meals attractively for all service periods.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure food safety and quality.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of foodservice and food handling standards.
• Ability to prepare meals efficiently and accurately.
• Experience with hospitality and food delivery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Flexible with working hours, including early mornings and varied shifts.
• Experience in a hospital or similar environment is a plus.

Work Environment:

Work in a hospital setting that is clean and climate-controlled. Adhere to a professional dress code that includes black pants (no jeans), a black shirt, and slip-resistant shoes. The team consists of approximately 180 housekeepers, and the work schedule includes early morning shifts from 4:30 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with varied times on Tuesday and Thursday.

This is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $19.92 - $19.92/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
