The iconic Washington Hilton is looking for their next dedicated Cook I to join their Culinary team. Find this historic hotel within blocks of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan. The property has 1,107 rooms with a restaurant, sports bar, lobby bar, coffee shop, and large scale banquet operation.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of progressive culinary experience in a restaurant or hotel setting. Experience working the line for both hot and cold stations required. Seeking someone who is hungry, driven, and reliable. Must have open availability.

Shift Pattern: variable with AM and PM shifts, weekend/holiday availability required

Pay Range: $22.79-30.38 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Cook I, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
• Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
