LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with an organization who is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist with experience in the construction industry to join the finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting job costing efforts across multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding to jobs and cost categories.
- Reconcile purchase orders, delivery tickets, and invoices to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, inquiries, and payment schedules.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure proper job costing and expense tracking.
- Maintain organized records of payments, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals and reporting.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve discrepancies.
- Support audits and compliance reviews by providing necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with job costing and project accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, QuickBooks, Procore, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Pay Details: $58,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
