Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist

SUMMARY:

As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to patients while employing specialized technical skills to ensure high-quality imaging procedures. Your commitment to patient experience and department efficiency is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Patient Care: Conduct radiography for patients, including CT scans and Interventional CT-guided procedures; provide on-call coverage for the CT section of Radiology; promptly address patient care issues and needs.
• Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of exams and procedures; maintain patient charts with detailed records of studies performed.
• Daily Maintenance: Support day-to-day supervision of the CT team; maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and prepare imaging rooms.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• New York State license in Radiologic Technology (or must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT-R) within six months of employment.
• As of July 16, 2018, NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with various software applications preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are preferred.

EDUCATION: AS: Radiologic Technology

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

• Registered Radiologic Technologist - ARRT
• New York State Education Department (NYSED) certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

Pay range: $32.00 - $44.00
