Combat System Test Engineer

Amentum is seeking a dedicated results-oriented individual to support NSWC Dahlgren H20.

Test Engineer Responsibilities:

  Write and execute test cases that will exercise both the SQQ-89 system as well as its external interfaces including but not limited to AWS, VLS, TSP, and Radar

  n

• n

  Document issues observed with SQQ-89 and its external interfaces with clear descriptions and steps to reproduce.

• n

  Review system documentation and requirements and provide technical input to the Systems Engineering team.

  n
n
• n

  Review issues from the Fleet Support team and re-create the issue in the lab for further analysis.

  n
n
• n

  Witness installing the SQQ-89 system ensuring the SVD is following and providing redlined changes as needed.

  n

• n

  Work with the system Integrator's automated test team to design automated test scripts

  n
n
• n

  Travel approximately 10% of the time

  n
n
• n

  Work onsite at Lockheed Martin, Manassas VA

  n
n

Minimum Qualifications:

n
• n

  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline with three (3) years of systems engineering or systems test experience for real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems or

  n
n
• n

  US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E6 level or higher with two (2) years of systems engineering or

  n
n
• n

  Five (5) years of systems engineering or systems test experience with real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems.

  n

• n

  Must have an active Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

n
• n

  Systems test experience for real-time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems

  n
n
• n

  Experience with performing test activities including developer/capability level testing, functional level testing (FQT/Verification and Validation), software/system integration testing, or AEGIS combat systems integration land-based testing.

  Using simulators in a test environment

  n
n
