Haas CNC Operator

The Haas CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Haas CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce precision metal parts according to engineering specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup & Operation
  • Set up Haas CNC machines for scheduled jobs.
  • Load raw materials and configure tooling.
  • Operate machines using proper techniques to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Programming & Technical Work
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers.
  • Input or adjust CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
  • Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments.
• Quality Control
  • Inspect parts during and after machining for accuracy and quality.
  • Use measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Document quality checks and production data.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Report issues to supervisors or maintenance teams.
  • Keep machines and work areas clean and organized.
• Collaboration & Reporting
  • Communicate delays or issues to schedulers and managers.
  • Train junior operators when needed.
  • Complete production paperwork and inventory logs.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred).
• 25 years of experience operating Haas CNC machines.
• Familiarity with CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
