Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour . Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
This position offers a $2.25/hour 3rd shift differential. This position offers a $1.75/hour weekend differential.

UNIT OVERVIEW:
Welcome to our Stepdown Care Unit, also known as Intermediate Care, where we provide comprehensive and specialized care for a diverse range of medical conditions. Within Stepdown Care, we attend to patients facing a spectrum of health challenges, including but not limited to Strokes, Seizures, Pre and post-operative Neuro & surgical cases, Traumas, Respiratory diseases/distress, Alcohol/drug withdrawals, COPD, CHF, End-of-life care, GI Bleeds, Palliative Care, Vented trach'd patients, and renal diseases, among others. What sets our unit apart is not only the breadth of medical conditions we address but also the dynamic and supportive team that collaborates seamlessly. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED Experience
• Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
