Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a CNA include:

1. Providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
2. Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and documenting medication administration accurately.
3. Offering companionship, emotional support, and engaging in meaningful conversations to enhance the well-being of clients.
4. Preparing nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and client preferences.
5. Assisting clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as needed.
6. Observing and reporting changes in clients' health and well-being, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
7. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and reporting any concerns or issues to the care coordinator or nurse.
8. Providing personalized care that respects the dignity, preferences, and cultural backgrounds of each client.

Qualifications:

The qualifications required for this position include:

• Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Texas.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous experience as a CNA in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Compassionate and patient with a genuine desire to improve the lives of clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and adapt to the changing needs of clients.
• Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (if required for the position).
