Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a CNA in our staffing pool, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments, including medical-surgical, telemetry, and emergency services, gaining diverse experience and expanding your skills.   Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

  Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.

  n

• n

  Monitor and report changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff.

  n
n
• n

  Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).

  n
n
• n

  Assist with patient ambulation and transfers.

  n
n
• n

  Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

  n
n
• n

  Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.

  n
n
• n

  Document care provided in the electronic health record (EHR).

  n
n
• n

  Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

  n
n

Job Requirements

n
• n

  Current AHA CPR certification (CT CPRBLS)

  n
n
• n

  Current CNA Certification (CT NA)

  n
n
• n

  High School education or equivalent

  n
n
• n

  Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program.

  n
n

Preferred Requirements:

n
• Six (6) months of recent hospital experience as a CNA
n

Special Skills:

• n

  Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.

• n

  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to operate common office equipment, including computers.

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures.

  n
n

Pay Range

$24.00 - $28.09 /hour
