The role you'll contribute: Professional nurse who provides leadership in the development of staff education at the unit level in compliance with regulatory agencies in conjunction with the hospital mission, management and physician expectation. The educator combines clinical expertise and passion for teaching in both the classroom and practice setting, preparing and mentoring current and future generations of nurses. The Nurse educator plays a pivotal role in strengthening the nursing workforce, serving as a role model and providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice.

The value you'll bring to the team: Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes. Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs. Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for educational programs, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience. Assists students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs, strengths, and opportunities. Coordinates orientation of new staff, including agency personnel, into the organization. Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and adjusts content and teaching strategies based on learner needs. Tracks educational offerings and shares information with unit leadership as needed.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Master's of Nursing Required. 1 Work Experience Required. Registered Nurse (RN) Required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required. Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Preferred.
