SUMMARY : Join our dedicated medical team as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, where you will play a vital role in performing essential clinical laboratory analyses and examinations on blood, urine, body fluids, and tissues. Your expertise will assist in precise physician diagnosis and treatment, with responsibilities that include using advanced instruments and methods within established turnaround times. This position requires independent judgment, theoretical knowledge, and unwavering commitment to regulatory lab requirements while effectively resolving instrument and clinical challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct testing accurately and in a timely manner.

• Interpret and correlate test results with patient histories and conditions to provide crucial insights for appropriate follow-up actions.

• Communicate urgent and critical lab results to physicians and nursing teams promptly.

• Perform quality control, routine maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.

• Prepare reagents carefully and monitor laboratory supply inventory with a focus on cost effectiveness.

• Maintain proficiency in required computer functions related to testing, reporting, and workflow management.

• Educate students in the School of Medical Technology during lab rotations as needed.

• Consistently meet all regulatory lab standards.

• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma

• New York State Department of Education License, Provisional Permit, or Limited Permit as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Medical Technology or related Science

• Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position involves medium work, necessitating the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, with constant movement of objects exceeding negligible weight. Frequent walking, standing, and squatting are required.

$33.75 - $45.00

The listed base pay range represents the current potential earnings for a successful full-time applicant and may change in the future, including potential additional pay components. Compensation is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, and internal equity.
