Clinical Lab - Microbiologist

We are seeking a talented microbiologist to lead and execute scientific research projects. The role involves designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring adherence to scientific protocols. The successful candidate will oversee laboratory techniques, provide scientific guidance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation in microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments independently or with project teams.
• Perform laboratory techniques accurately and efficiently.
• Lead small projects or programs, overseeing staff assignments.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex equipment.
• Manage research projects from conception to completion.
• Provide scientific guidance to project teams.
• Analyze experimental data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and scientific publications.
• Evaluate data for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and improve methods, test plans, and experimental designs.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and manage timelines.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and results.
• Communicate research findings effectively through reports and presentations.
• Adhere to quality control measures and standard operating procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 4 years of clinical microbiology experience or a Master's Degree with 3+ years.
• Strong technical leadership skills.
• Mastery in protocol troubleshooting, designing, and optimization.
• Proven track record in original or collaborative research.
• Experience in task leadership and project management.
• Effective communication of project resource needs.

Skills & Qualifications

• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
• Experience in authoring peer-reviewed journal articles.
• Successful development of patented work.
• Recognition of scientific accomplishments.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
