Responsibilities

We are seeking a compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our Family Medicine team in Iowa. This position is open to Emergency Medical Tech (EMT), Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) , Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) , or Registered Nurses (RN) . The Clinical Nurse will provide support in patient care across all ages, assisting with exams, treatments, and patient education in a primary care setting.

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures

n

• Room payients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)

n

• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure

n

• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care

n

• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups

n

• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

n

Qualifications

n
• n
  n

  • Valid and current licensure/certification in the state of Iowa as one of the following:

    n
    n

    • Registered Nurse (RN) – Iowa Board of Nursing

    n

    • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Iowa Board of Nursing

    n

    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, NHA or AMT)

    n
    • Iowa EMT certification
    n
  n

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification  

  n

  • Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred

  n

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

  n

  • Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, etc.) and basic computer skills

  n

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative healthcare team
