Job Summary: The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Emergency Medicine is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to Emergency Department (ED) patients through clinical services, formulary management, development of policies and procedures, and integrated drug distribution. The primary job responsibilities of this position include providing pharmaceutical care to ED patients, providing drug distribution support, educating ED personnel and serving as the pharmacy representative on appropriate Emergency Department and hospital committees.

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy Required or Doctorate Pharm D from an accredited college of pharmacy Preferred

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Licensed by, and in good standing with, the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy or ability to obtain a Georgia State Board of Pharmacy License within 6 months of hire date within 180 Days Required Board Certification (e.g., BCPS, BCCCP, etc.), Preferred

Required Minimum Experience: Minimum 3 years clinical pharmacy experience or PGY1 Pharmacy Residency completion Required or Minimum 2 years clinical pharmacy experience or completion of PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care Required and Experience with nutrition support, anticoagulation management, and pharmacokinetics Preferred

Required Minimum Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong computer skills. Experience with Epic, Microsoft Office, preferred Capable of preparing and providing presentations Strong organizational skills
