Class B Truck Driver

Job Description:

What you'll need to succeed as a Class B Driver at XPO:

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Class B CDL without air brake restriction
• Proven safe driving record
• Pass a DOT drug test with no previous positive tests or refusals
• Pass a company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test
• Ability to work a flexible schedule of up to 12-14 hours a day, including nights and weekends
• Obtain a Federal Medical Certificate and self-certify as Non-Exempt Interstate
• Possess or be willing to obtain hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days of employment

Preferred qualifications:

• Currently hold hazardous materials and tank endorsements

About the Class B Driver position:

• Home daily
• Expected pay range: $27.22 to $30.30 per hour, dependent on experience and skill set

Your daily responsibilities:

• Safely operate a straight truck (GVWR or GVW of 26,001 lb. or more)
• Provide excellent customer service and generate sales leads
• Load and unload freight
• Follow state regulations for intrastate commercial straight trucks
• Use a forklift and pallet jack for freight operations

Requirements for Class B Drivers:

• Must be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally)
• Safely climb in and out of a straight truck/box truck
• Ability to sit for extended periods in a straight truck/box truck and/or forklift
• Walk and stand for long durations on various surfaces
• Reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel as required
• Operate a straight truck for up to 11 consecutive hours in varying weather conditions
