Experience in Side Truck Driving within the Waste Industry is required.

Job Highlights:

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
• Start Time: Early morning
• Payment: Hourly rate of $27.90 plus overtime pay
• Experience: 1 year of verifiable CDL experience is required

Essential Job Functions:

• Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for the collection of waste or recyclable materials
• Transport materials to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities, possibly making multiple trips during a shift
• Utilize both manual and automatic trucks
• May require lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and moving up to 100 pounds, along with mounting and dismounting the truck multiple times per route

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
• Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with an airbrake endorsement
• At least one year of CDL driving experience within the last seven years.
• Strong safety record and clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Experience as a driver or helper in a waste management company is highly preferred
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, read maps, and understand traffic signals
• Must meet the physical and safety requirements of the position
• Willingness to work hours as dictated by DOT regulations, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Additional Requirements:

• Routes may involve navigating congested and tight urban areas
• Strong backing maneuvering skills are essential
• Regularly climb in and out of the truck cab for servicing customer accounts
• Conduct pre and post inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
