Class B CDL Hazmat CleanPack Driver

Join Clean Harbors as a Class B Driver (CleanPack Chemist CDL), where you will have a crucial role in handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste in line with Federal, State, and Local regulations. This position is based in Foster City, CA, and operates both indoors and outdoors at various client locations, including plants, labs, and customer sites. You will work closely with clients, conducting household hazardous waste collections and assisting with lab moves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by adhering to all safety practices and company policies.
• Prepare necessary documentation, including packing lists, labels, and manifests.
• Conduct regular inspections of storage areas to ensure compliance and proper handling of materials.
• Safely collect, segregate, and package waste chemicals for efficient disposal while adhering to environmental regulations.
• Execute projects at various client sites, including large corporate environments.
• Finalize preparations for all shipments in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company standards.
• Follow local, state, and federal compliance regulations consistently.
• Operate vehicles safely and in accordance with all relevant guidelines.
• Participate in additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Ability to obtain a tanker endorsement within six months of employment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Capability to perform physical tasks as required by the job.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug test, and medical examination.
• Comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, including facial hair requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A college degree in Chemistry or a natural science field.
• Prior experience in Environmental Services, such as remediation or spill response.
