Class A Truck Driver

Job Summary

The Class A Truck Driver plays a vital role in the distribution process, ensuring all products are delivered on time and in perfect condition. You'll help fulfill store orders, maintain delivery schedules, and enhance customer satisfaction through your dedication and professionalism.

Job Description

• Experience Required: None
• Experience Desired: 1 to 3 years
• Experience Desired: Basic understanding of DOT regulations; Over one year of Class A truck driving experience; Familiarity with city driving; Electric pallet jack experience is a plus.
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or Licensing Required: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL); No commercial DUI/DWI on record; No personal DUI/DWI on record within the past 5 years.
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds.
• Travel Required: Regional - Daily, More than 50%.
• Age Requirement: At least 21 years old.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the dock door and trailer are secure before unloading.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling and be available for required shifts, including overtime as needed.
• Achieve and uphold established productivity standards.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Follow food safety procedures diligently.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Pass and maintain DOT medical qualifications.
• Drive tractor trailers safely and courteously.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal driving laws, reporting any violations to management.
• Load and unload products using pallet jacks safely.
• Capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 100 lbs.
• Build positive relationships with store personnel and provide exceptional customer service.
• Communicate effectively with logistics and warehouse teams for smooth dispatching.
• Communicate safety concerns, equipment issues, or problems to supervision promptly.
• Conduct safety checks on equipment, including trailer temperature checks as required.
