Class A CDL Truck Driver

Clean Harbors is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to operate various heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at our customer sites. Some of the vehicles you will operate include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This role involves both driving and non-driving duties that support hazardous waste clean-up operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and support field laborers in a collaborative team environment.
• Use a range of Class A trucks for diverse driving tasks.
• Load and unload trucks as necessary.
• Perform manual labor on-site to meet customer needs.
• Assign proper placarding for vehicles according to company and DOT regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and various reports accurately.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Operate vehicles safely in accordance with U.S. DOT requirements.
• Conduct yourself according to corporate guidelines for operations and environmental health and safety.
• Other duties as assigned, including on-call emergency response every other week.
• Participate in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Comfortable using various mobile devices.
• Able to perform physical tasks as required by the job.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and physical examination.
• Compliance with OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a commercial driver.
• Current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Prior experience dealing with hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with manual labor tasks.
