Position Description

Join our team as a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver! We are seeking a dedicated Trucker to become part of Ryder.

Imagine earning $1600 or more per week with added benefits:

• Pay is weekly
• Hourly Pay: $30.00
• Travel Time: $20.00 per hour
• Work Schedule: 50 - 60 hours per week
• Mileage Reimbursement: $0.70
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 for each night away from home
• Paid Training Provided
• Schedule: Varies, with AM/PM Dispatch

• Deliver SOLO to the East Coast and Texas
• OTR Route
• Tractors: Sleeper, Day Cabs, and 26' Straight Trucks
• Trailers: Dry Van, Conestoga, Flatbed (48', 53')
• Training available for all necessary equipment
• Freight handling may vary
• Enhanced license or Passport required for travel to Canada within 90 days of hire

Our trucks are modern (36 months or newer) and include 24/7 roadside maintenance. Drivers can refuel at over 800 Maintenance Facilities nationwide.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Background check and motor vehicle check are required
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide a valid CDL and necessary endorsements for this role
• Must possess Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to read and interpret laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Identify and manage safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load or assist with loading/unloading freight as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
