The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and assist in the design, construction, and project management of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design, culvert design, and pavement design, etc.
• Be involved hands-on in the permitting process.
• Interact significantly with multi-disciplinary internal teams and external clients.

The Team

As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects across three market sectors: Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. You will engage with projects ranging from small community improvements to large-scale Mega Projects, contributing to infrastructure growth while pursuing your own development. Key Responsibilities

• Perform design of projects from conceptual and bid phases through design completion, aligned with client needs as determined by project managers.
• Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
• Interface directly with the client or sub-consultants under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
• Support business development through writing technical approaches, scopes of work, and client presentations.
• Maintain effective communication with other engineering disciplines and the project team.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Licensed PE or ability and interest to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration
• Thorough understanding of civil site development (Site Plans, Permitting, Grading, Storm Water Management)
• Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program in the home country or where the professional practices. Minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Certifications

Licensed Professional Engineer or active pursuit of registration

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
• Typical office/home office environment. Physical Demands: Sitting, talking, grasping, hearing, keyboard input, driving, seeing, writing, reaching, stooping, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods.
• May require travel to local and regional client sites.
