Civil Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Civil Drafter to create specialized drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role involves drafting construction plans, including grading, site, and erosion control plans, as well as ALTA and topographic surveys. The drafter will generate surface modeling and work closely with civil engineers to ensure compliance with industry standards and governmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Draft construction plans such as grading plan, site plan, and erosion control plan.
• Draft ALTA and topographic surveys.
• Generate surface modeling for projects.
• Collaborate with civil engineers to understand project requirements and develop appropriate drafts.
• Ensure all drafts comply with industry standards and governmental regulations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with drafting ALTA and topographic surveys.
• Ability to work independently on drafting projects.
• Experience in land/site development and surface modeling.
• Knowledge of grading plans and civil engineering principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience required if local; extensive experience needed for remote work.
• Associate's degree preferred.

Work Environment

The role requires collaboration with the engineering and surveying team, and although primarily on-site, remote work may be considered following a brief in-office period.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, Illinois.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
