Amergis Educational Staffing is excited to partner with a school in Brockton, MA to hire a dedicated City Resource Teacher for a high school setting.

Position Details:

• Start Date: Two weeks from offer
• Duration: Full 20252026 School Year
• Temp-to-perm option available after completion of 1,040 hours (not required)
• Pay Rate: Up to $55/hour
• Schedule: MondayFriday | 7:10 AM 2:19 PM (30-minute lunch)

Role Overview:

We are hiring three City Resource Teachers to support students in grades 912 within a City Resource Room (CRR) a sub-separate special education classroom designed for students with moderate disabilities who require specialized instruction across academic areas.

City Resource Room Features:

• Specialized instruction in core academic subjects
• Use of modified curriculum materials (e.g., TeachTown)
• Small class sizes with 1 special education teacher and 2 paraprofessionals
• Structured, supportive classroom environment
• Emphasis on IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and collaboration with general education staff
• Familiarity with MCAS-Alt assessments may be required depending on student needs

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
