Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Support: Conduct all aspects of radiation therapy physics, ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Equipment Management: Perform calibration, commissioning, and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality assurance programs for equipment and treatment delivery.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with NRC and state regulations, as well as ACRO and AAPM guidelines.

• Varian Linacs: EDGE (New), Trilogy, Varisource HDR
• GE Lightspeed CT Simulator

Qualifications:

• Board Certification: Required
• Clinical Experience: At least five years preferred
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated skills in IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, and other advanced techniques
• Performance Management: Lead the development and documentation of performance specifications, procedures, testing tolerances, and testing frequencies for all therapy equipment, ensuring top-notch operational standards.
• Expert Consultation: Provide expert advice to Radiation Oncologists on the physical and radiobiological aspects of treatment, translating complex treatment plans into clear, actionable instructions for radiation therapists.
• Innovative Design: Oversee the design, fabrication, and precise measurement of treatment beam modifiers and aids, contributing to cutting-edge treatment solutions.
• Clinical Practice Support: Play a pivotal role in the clinical practice of Radiation Oncology Physics and dosimetry, including equipment usage, selection, and replacement.
• Team Leadership: Manage physics and dosimetry staff requirements, assignments, and recruitment, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
• Program Management: Oversee program operations, budget preparation, and continuous review of policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of care and efficiency.
