This position presents an exceptional opportunity for an authentic and experienced executive to guide the hospital towards continued stability and sustainable growth.

The Position: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports to the Board of Directors and serves as the top executive leader of Ray County Hospital, a rural critical access hospital. The CEO is responsible for strategic leadership, operational oversight, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible healthcare services to the community. This role requires a leader who can balance clinical excellence with financial sustainability, community engagement, and workforce development in a rural environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Master's degree in healthcare administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or related field required from an accredited university.
• Preferred minimum of 57 years of senior healthcare leadership experience, preferably as a CEO, COO, or Administrator in a rural or critical access hospital.
• Proven track record in financial management, operations, and community engagement.
• Expertise in physician relations, including recruitment, engagement and collaboration.

The Organization: Ray County Hospital and Healthcare is an independent, $25M net revenue, 25 bed, Critical Access Hospital located in Richmond, MO. Since 1956, Ray County Hospital and Healthcare has provided Ray County residents and surrounding communities with professional, dependable, cost-effective healthcare. The hospital has Level III Stroke Certification and was recognized by Chartis Center for Rural Health in 2022 for a Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Quality and Outcomes. Services offered include Cardiac Rehab, Dietary Services, Emergency Department, Laboratory Services, Oncology, Outpatient Clinic, Pulmonary, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Senior Life Solutions, Surgery, Therapy Services, and Transitional Care. Ray County Hospital and Healthcare is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of community members.
