Chef Manager

Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager / Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Leisure World, a large 55 and over adult living community located in Silver Spring, Maryland. This is more than just a job—it's a chance to elevate your career while shaping unforgettable dining experiences. We're looking for a chef with a proven track record of crafting trend-forward, seasonal, and recipe-driven menus that delight and inspire.  This Chef will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations for 2 restaurants and catering operations on campus.  

• Execute innovative, nutritious, and appealing menus tailored to resident preferences and dietary needs

• Ensure rigorous food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met and exceeded

• Lead, mentor, and engage culinary and utility staff to foster a positive, resident-focused culture

• Assist with planning and execution of special events and chef dinners, providing elevated dining experiences that delight residents and guests

• Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to support resident satisfaction

• Manage inventory, budget, and vendor relationships to optimize operational efficiency and quality

• prior food service management experience in restaurants and catering;

Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Minimum Management Experience - 1 year
