CFO x 400K - 500K + bonus + equity x East LA

Job Title: CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

Are you a seasoned CFO with an MBA from a top-ranking business school and extensive experience in project billing? We are seeking a strategic and innovative CFO to join an East LA professional services company. This role involves overseeing accounting, tax, FP&A, and providing strategic insights on transactional operations and payroll. The CFO will lead a team of over 25 professionals and collaborate with executive leadership across all business lines.

Minimum Requirements:

• MBA in Finance from a top-ranking business school
• 20+ years of finance experience
• Previous experience as a CFO
• CPA (active or inactive) preferred
• Experience in a professional services environment, especially client bill-pay
• Willingness to be hands-on when necessary
• Residency in Los Angeles and willingness to commute onsite 5 days a week

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term financial strategies
2. Provide insights to support growth, profitability, and risk management
3. Lead budgeting and forecasting aligned with project timelines and revenue streams
4. Analyze project, client, and departmental performance to inform decisions
5. Manage cash flow, working capital, and oversee month-end/year-end close processes
6. Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
7. Oversee audits, tax planning, and liaise with external auditors and advisors
8. Implement systems for project accounting, billing, and time tracking
9. Monitor project budgets and profitability metrics
10. Evaluate and upgrade financial systems, including ERP and project management tools
11. Build and mentor a high-performing finance team
