Pay Range: $23.50 - $34.50

Note: The pay range for this position depends on experience.

Position Highlights:

- Potential eligibility for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.

- Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, with every 6th weekend/holiday on call; 80 hours every two weeks.

Role Overview:

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients and families in the surgical suites, under the guidance of the Surgery Leader and/or Surgeon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgeon within your competency and standards of practice while adhering to infection control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of surgical equipment and environments.
• Update and manage preference cards to support surgical teams.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements, policies, and standards of practice.
• Verify patient identity, operative procedure, and consent prior to surgeries.
• Monitor aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures.
• Perform counts of surgical sponges, needles, and instruments as per policy.
• Evaluate new supplies, equipment, and instruments as necessary.
• Organize surgical instruments and supplies in the operating room as per instructions.

Qualifications:

• Graduate with a Technical Certificate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) through the NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) through the NCCT required upon hire.

Preferred Experience:

• 1-3 years of surgical experience.
