Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. Actual pay rate dependent upon experience: $23.50 - $34.50

Work Schedule

• Day shift
• 48 hours/2 week
• Weekend, holiday and call time rotation is based on the number of employed Surgical Technicians.

A Brief Overview

You will provide high-quality professional care to patients and families under the supervision of the Surgery Leader and/or Surgeon within the surgical suites and clinical areas.

What You Will Do

• Assist surgeons while adhering to infection control and universal precautions. Maintain cleanliness in the operating room.
• Rotate in the SPD area to clean and sterilize instruments for various departments.
• Update preference cards to ensure compliance with surgeon requests.
• Verify patient identity and operative details to ensure safety.
• Apply and monitor aseptic techniques throughout the surgery.
• Conduct sponge, needle, and instrument counts following protocols.
• Participate in evaluating new supplies and instruments.
• Prepare equipment and arrange instruments as instructed.

Essential Qualifications

Ability to work specified hours and perform essential functions satisfactorily. Must have effective communication skills and visual acuity for job requirements. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Required Education, Certification, or Experience:

• Technical Certificate Graduate from an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) upon hire, or
• Tech in Surgery (TS-C) - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) upon hire

Preferred Experience:

• 1-3 years of surgical experience
