Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-5 years relevant work experience
• Master's Degree in Social Work
• LMSW or LCSW

Details:

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health, emotional well-being, and social circumstances.
• Use clinical diagnostic tools to assess mental health disorders and conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and strengths.

Therapeutic Services:

• Provide individual therapy to clients dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship problems.

Crisis Intervention:

• Provide emergency intervention for clients in crisis, including suicidal ideation, severe anxiety, or substance abuse relapse.
• Collaborate with emergency services, hospitals, and other resources in cases of immediate danger.
• Offer support during and after a crisis, helping clients stabilize and develop coping strategies.

Case Management:

• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, social services, schools, or community organizations to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Assist clients in accessing resources such as housing, employment, or financial assistance.
• Document progress, treatments, and outcomes through case notes and other required records.

Client Education and Advocacy:

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Advocate for clients in various settings, such as within the legal system, healthcare system, or at school, as necessary.

Collaboration and Supervision:

• Work with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Provide supervision to social work interns or less experienced social workers if applicable.

Maintain Ethical and Legal Standards:

• Ensure all practice aligns with the NASW Code of Ethics and state regulations.
• Uphold client confidentiality, maintaining secure records and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in supervision and consultation with senior clinicians as necessary.

Continuing Education:

• Participate in professional development and continuing education to stay current with the latest treatment methods and social work practices.
• Pursue additional certifications (e.g., trauma-informed care, addiction counseling) to expand expertise.
