Customer Experience
As a key member of our pharmacy team, you'll engage with customers and patients by greeting them warmly and assisting with their product and service needs. Your expertise will help resolve any issues and answer questions, ensuring every customer enjoys a positive experience. You'll also model exceptional customer service practices for your colleagues, focusing on building strong relationships with our most valued customers.

Operations
Under the supervision of the pharmacist, you will assist in various pharmacy operations while adhering to all state, federal, and company policies. Your responsibilities will include entering patient and drug information accurately, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and checking for potential interactions. You're expected to report any prescription errors immediately and follow company policies diligently.
You will manage cash register transactions, assist customers in locating products, handle relevant phone calls, process third-party prescription claims, and contribute to inventory management tasks.
Additionally, you will support the pharmacy team in analyzing performance data and enhancing our financial and customer service goals.

This role may involve assisting in the administration of clinical services, building relationships with local medical professionals, and contributing to the overall efficiency and organization of the pharmacy department. You'll also play a pivotal role in coaching fellow technicians and cashiers to improve pharmacy operations.

Training & Personal Development
You’ll maintain your PTCB or ExCPT certification and continue your professional development through training and acquiring continuing education credits in the pharmacy field.

Basic Qualifications

• Current PTCB or ExCPT certification.
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire is required (certain exclusions apply).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Walgreens is a plus.
• Basic math skills for medication measurement and counting.
• Basic PC skills for navigating pharmacy systems and managing inventory.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is preferred.
