Job Purpose: Assist in implementing the occupational therapy care plan as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician, in accordance with the State Practice Acts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of home care and competency in specific patient care skills.
• Document and communicate tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain continuity of care.
• Follow protocols for handling medical emergencies or incidents impacting service delivery.
• Report patient progress and issues to supervisory staff.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment with adequate supplies and functioning equipment.
• Support teamwork by engaging with colleagues and valuing cultural diversity.
• Report any suspected violations to supervisors until resolution is achieved.
• Exhibit self-direction, time management, and prioritization to meet strategic goals.

Minimum Experience Required: One year of experience working with adults in a healthcare setting.

Licensure, Certification, and Education Requirements:

• Valid and unrestricted professional license in your state of practice.
• Graduate from an ACOTE accredited school.
• If foreign-trained, your program must be equivalent to entry-level Occupational Therapy Assistant education in the U.S., as evaluated by an AOTA-approved organization.

Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience in Home Health is preferred.
