Job Overview

As a Certified Nursing Associate (CNA), you will provide essential support in patient care, focusing on hygiene, nutrition, mobility, elimination, and safety in accordance with the directives of the Charge Nurse and established guidelines. Your responsibilities will include:

• Documenting patient information accurately in their records
• Completing a personal belongings sheet upon patient admission and recording vital statistics
• Orienting new residents to the facility and ensuring all necessary procedures are followed
• Promptly responding to resident needs and call lights
• Monitoring and reporting vital signs and weight to the Charge Nurse
• Applying all necessary medical devices and specialty care items per physician orders
• Maintaining appropriate supplies and equipment in the unit
• Participating in training and development activities to enhance your skills
• Building effective relationships with team members and management

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred, but not mandatory
• Active CNA certification in your state
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within six months
• Experience in long-term care is preferred
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with patients and colleagues
• Ability to manage your time efficiently and organize work tasks
• Physical capability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and transfer patients weighing over 200 lbs with proper techniques
• Manual dexterity and the ability to document in written form
• Good visual acuity, including color recognition

Compensation: Pay range is $16.08 - $25.24 per hour.
