Certified Nursing Assistant- Transportation Aide

JOB PURPOSE:

Provide safe and timely transportation of laundry to and from Health Care Centers and laundry facility. In addition the transportation aide will assist in other trips for the facility as deemed necessary by the supervisor, administrator or designee

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. nDrives the loaded delivery truck on the designated route.nn

2. nStops and delivers cleaned laundry to the facility / residents.nn
n
3. nWhen finished with deliveries, returns on the same route to pick up soiled laundry.nn
n
4. nReturns to the laundry facility to unload the truck.nn
n
5. nParks the truck at the end of the work shift.nn
n

· Communicates well with patients/residents/clients and family members providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, patients/residents/clients and responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

None, on-the-job training provided

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

Valid unrestricted driver's license in state of employment

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

Previous experience with driving and delivery service preferred
